Chicken Soup Recipes

The Paleo Recipe Book
These days, life is hectic. Making time for some family time around the table is difficult when the entire family is at work or at school during the week. It doesn't have to be as hard as you think. Chicken soup recipes can make life a lot easier and meals a lot faster.Chicken soup has long been considered cathartic. In fact, so popular is it that it's been termed health food and healing food for years. In medieval times chicken soup was one of the medicines that was given to people who were suffering from croup.

Today, chicken soup is not only considered healing, but is also comfort food. When you have a cold or flu, there isn't a month around who doesn't proffer tissue and chicken soup and I'm one of those people. Chicken soup is one of our favorite foods at our house. There are a wide array of ways to make chicken soup, and the only thing you will find different about ours is that we don't use fats unless they are olive oils and this type thing.Being from Israel, we do not combine dairy foods with meats, so we use a lot of other oils instead of things like butter or margarine if we're going to create a chicken soup or chicken pie that has meat in it.
My family loves chicken. We use chicken soup as comfort food, and also because we like a hot hearty meal at the end of the day. Working so much during the week, we like quick and easy recipes. Chicken soup can be made on the stove-top, but may also be made using your slow cooker to make your life easier and your chicken soup recipes literally cook themselves while you are away at work or at school.
Normally what I like to do is to make more of the chicken soup and then freeze it to use on days when there simply isn't enough time to cook a healthy and hearty meal.
